CUB SCOUTING RANKS



their are 5 cub scout rank badges. bobcat, tiger, wolf, bear, and webelos. all requirements must be meet, per the current bsa guidelines, and handbooks.

cub scouts are put into den's per their age groups. tigers are age 7 or in the first grade.
wolf's are age 8, and in the second or third grade.
bears are age 9 and in the third or fourth grade.
webelos are age 10 in the 4 or fifth grade.

all cub scouts are members of a pack, the pack meets once a month, and dens meet every week.

BOBCAT BADGE



this is the first rank badge too be earned by all cub scouts. this badge must be earned before tiger, wolf, bear, and webelos badge. it is the basic joining requirements.

TIGER TOTEM BADGE



tiger cub immediate recognition emblem. worn on right pocket button. the badge is earned for completing the motto, sign, salute. the beads are earned by completing the tiger track trail.

TIGER CUB BADGE



tiger cubs must complete all 15 of the tiger paws activities.

their are 5 achievements; making my family special, where i live, keeping myself healthy and safe, how i tell it, let's go outdoors.

in each achievement. their are 3 activity's: family, den, go see it.

their are also 100 tiger track trails.
cub scout outdoor activity award.
leave no trace.
academics and sports belt loops / pins.
bsa family program.
summertime pack award.

once a tiger cub learns his cub scout motto, sign, salute. he than earns his tiger cub immediate recognition emblem.

WOLF / BEAR TOTEM BADGE



this is worn on the right pocket button. yellow beads are for wolf requirements. and red vare for bear requirements.

WOLF BADGE



once a cub scout has earned his bobcat badge. he may than start work on his wolf trail.

their are 12 achievements total. with any where from two to six requirements per each achievement.

once all these achievements have been completed. then the wolf cub may work on his wolf arrow points. their are 22 electives total.with any where from 3 to 9 arrrow point per each electives.

the first 10 arrow points, in any electives. is a gold arrow point. and any 10 after that are all silver arrow points.

cub scouts can also earn;

cub scout outdoor activity award.
cub scouting bsa family program.
summertime pack award.
cub scouting hat awards.

BEAR BADGE



again after a cub scout earns his bobcat badge. he may start work on his bear badge requirements.

their are 12 bear achievements. with any where from 1 to 10 requirements per each achievement.
also their are 1 to 4 achievements to pick from. like; god, country, family, self.
after all these have been completed. they may start work on their arrow points. their are 25 elective. with up to 10 requirements per each elective. the first 10 requirements are the gold arrow point, and any 10 requirements after that are the silver arrow points.

bears may also earn their;
whittling chip award.
cub scout world conservation award.
leave no trace.
academics and sports belt loop / pins.
bsa family program.
cub outdoor activity award.
cub scouting hat awards.
summertime pack award.

WEBELOS BADGE



again after a cub scout earns his bobcat badge, he can earn his webelos badge.
this is where the pack's webelos den leader starts working on making these young cub scouts too be boy scouts.

their uniform change too the bsa tan uniform shirt. these webelos scouts work on activity badges towards their webelos badge and arrow-of-light award. and for their compass point emblem.
 once they have completed their time, activity badges, and other requirements. they earns their webelos badge. this takes about 3 months. and completes the basic joining requirements too become a boy scout.

belt loops / pins.

WEBELOS COMPASS POINT EMBLEM



the requirements for this emblem is found in the webelos handbook. this emblem hangs from the right pocket button. and a compass point device is earn for each 5 activity pins that are earned.

5 activity pins for the emblem. and 5 more for each compass point devices (total of 3)

WEBELOS COLORS



the webelos colors are worn on the right sleeve, just under the u.s.flag. touching. this is where the webelos scout wear's his activities pins for his rank advancement.

ARROW-OF-LIGHT AWARD



once a webelos scouts has earned his webelos badge, he can then work on his arrow-of-light-award. this take's about 6 months too earn. it is also the highest award any cub scout can earn. and their last rank in the pack.

this award will also be worn on the bsa uniform, under the scouts left pocket until his 18 birthday. than it will become a knot too wear on his adult uniform above his left pocket.

the word arrow-of-light comes from Cheif webelos son. that was the chief's son's name. and also from the 1929 world jamboree where the golden arrow was the symbol.

WEBELOS BADGE (OLDER STYLE)



THIS IS THE OLDER WEBELOS STYLE BADGE. SOME WEBELOS WEAR THIS TOO COMPLETE THE TRIANGLE SHAPE WITH THEIR BOBCAT,WOLF, BEAR BADGES.
